VTQLP is a group of over 95 (and growing!) Vermont-based 2SLGBTQI+ lawyers, paralegals, legal support staff, and law & policy students and professionals of all kinds!  VTQLP was founded in 2021 in response to the lack of affinity spaces in Vermont’s legal community.  We shared a vision of a space where queer Vermonters could find support and speak with a unified voice about issues that are impacting our community.  Our work focuses on:

1.    Strengthening Vermont policy to protect queer rights

2.    Increasing access to affirming legal services 

3.    Educating the Vermont Bar

4.    Building community & strengthening networks

5.    Mentoring queer law and policy students

6.    Recruiting & retaining queer legal talent to Vermont
